Online estimate approval for PDR customers.
A paintless dent repair (PDR) customer can approve your estimate from the link you send, on their own phone. PDRCore confirms it's them with a one-time code and records who approved which version, for what total, and when.
- Approve from the link
- A one-time code to confirm it's them
- Who, which version and when, recorded
- Under your shop's letterhead
Why approval belongs on the customer's phone.
Most retail customers would rather say yes from their phone than drive back to sign. A dealer manager wants to approve a car between meetings. Waiting for a signature is a car sitting still.
What the shop needs from an approval is plain: that it was really the customer, which version of the estimate they saw, the total they agreed to, and when they said yes. If the estimate changes after it's sent, the old link should not be the one that gets approved.
Send the link. They approve. It's recorded.
Send the link
Email the estimate's link from PDRCore, or copy it and send it the way you reach the customer.
Under your letterhead
The customer opens the estimate under your shop's letterhead, on any phone or computer.
A one-time code
Pressing Approve sends the customer a one-time code, and they enter it to confirm it's them.
Recorded as it was
PDRCore records who approved, which version, for what total, and when, with the words they saw beside the button.
An older link says so
Send a newer version and the old link says a newer one exists, instead of taking an approval.
Your words, your settings.
Your sentence first
Your shop's own approval sentence, from Settings, sits above PDRCore's plain record of the facts.
On for retail, off for insurance
Online approval starts on for retail estimates and off for insurance estimates, and your shop can change either.
Kept out of search engines
A customer's document link is kept out of search engines and shared caches.
Approved means locked
Once approved, the estimate is locked as the version of record. On an insurance RO, changes go in a supplement.
Questions shops ask.
Can a customer approve a PDR estimate from their phone?
Yes. They open the link you send, press Approve, and confirm with a one-time code.
How do I know it was really the customer?
The customer has to enter a one-time code sent to them before the approval counts, and the approval records their name, the time and the version.
Is it a signature?
Not a drawn one. The approval records the name, time, version and total, confirmed by the code.
What if I change the estimate after sending it?
Send the new version. The old link says a newer one exists, so the version approved is the current one.
Can insurance estimates be approved online?
Only if your shop turns it on. Online approval starts off for insurance estimates and on for retail estimates.
Not built yet, and said so.
PDRCore is in beta. These are coming, with no promised dates, so they're not claimed above.
